Pennecon has been awarded the Amherst Island Wind Project, located on Amherst Island, 3 km off the north shore of Lake Ontario near the town of Bath, and 10km west of Kingston, Ontario. The project is rated at 75 MW utilizing twenty six (26) 3.2 MW Siemens direct-drive, 113 meter rotor diameter wind turbine generators.

 

Pennecon’s role will consist of a complete design-build and will involve construction of various Project components including tower erection, civil infrastructure, a 115 kV submarine cable installation, substations and other electrical components, etc.

Position: Project Administrative Assistant

Location: Amherst Island, ONT

 

The successful candidate will be responsible to assist the Project Office Manager in their duties which include; the processing of timesheets, job status reporting, purchase orders, job tracking and invoicing, bid tracking, job status reports, filing and document control, maintaining employee data and various other administrative duties.  This position will also support the Safety Department with duties such as; filing and organizing paperwork and assisting with orientation of new hires.

 

The ideal candidate will have at least two (2) years proven experience in an office administration capacity.  In addition, candidates would have a diploma in Office/Business Administration or an equivalency of education and work experience with excellent organizational, communication and computer skills.  You must have a commitment to safe work practices and ISO 9001:2008 QA/QC processes.  Experience on a heavy civil construction project is an asset.
